King Christian III

It was King Christian III of Denmark who start the project and created the citadel in Landskrona who belongs to Denmark in this days, the work on the citadel started 1549, the citadel was more a fortification then a castle, some of the walls was 3,5 - 4 meter in thickness, and the moat has a breadth at 30 - 40 meter, but this have been canceled so they are smaller today.

1679 the Swedes toke over Landskrona after a long war, and in October 23rd 1679 the Swedish king Karl XI walk in to the city.
